F + F | Rippon Hall Wedding Wanaka

FLO + FAB | RIPPON HALL WEDDING WANAKA, NEW ZEALAND

It’s no secret how much I love Wanaka. A tiny resort town situated around a lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains (even in summer this year!).

This was my second time to Wanaka but first at the gorgeous Rippon Hall. The Rippon Hall looks out over Rippon’s vines, Lake Wanaka, Ruby Island, and the Southern Alps beyond. With access right down to the lake itself, The Rippon Hall venue offers the very best of Central Otago.

Halfway through location portraits with the bride and groom we may have driven down a gravel road to find the lake, only to find out that it was actually a walking path not for cars and then had to try turn 4 large cars around on a small gravel path with overgrown bush either side. Oops. I say we but really I bailed and stole the bride and groom for portraits while the boys helped maneuver the cars around.

Heading out for some quiet time after all the fun, this mystical setting on top of Coromandel Peak was the perfect spot for a lover’s moment away from the party. Also because It was sheltered by the gale force winds coming through Wanaka on the day. Thanks to Wanaka Helicopters for getting us back safe in the rain!

Florence looked like Grace Kelly, a modern bride with a dress that had pockets, POCKETS!
