One of the questions I hear most from newly engaged couples is: “Where should we look for wedding inspiration?”
The internet is overflowing with wedding content, but not all of it feels relevant, modern, or achievable. Rather than spending hours scrolling through endless Pinterest boards, I always recommend starting with a few carefully curated sources that focus on real weddings, thoughtful design, and genuine storytelling.
Wedding Fairs Worth Visiting
If you’d prefer to meet vendors in person, these are two of my favourite wedding fairs in Australia:
- First Comes Love
- One Fine Day
- Venue Open Days – Venues like Lamont’s Bishops House have their own open days, whereas the Swan Valley Open Day covers most popular venues all on the same day
Both take a more curated approach, showcasing creative vendors, contemporary styling, and plenty of ideas without feeling overwhelming.
Wedding Publications I Love
For modern ‘real people’ Australian weddings
For editorial, destination and luxury inspiration
Start With Your Own Story
The best weddings aren’t built around trends. They’re built around the people getting married.
Instead of asking what is popular right now, think about the places you love spending time together, the atmosphere you want your guests to experience, and the details that feel most like you. The most memorable weddings are often the ones that feel personal rather than perfectly styled.
If you’re planning a wedding in Perth, you’ll also find plenty of venue guides and planning resources throughout my blog – The Wedding Edit – to help you turn inspiration into something uniquely your own.
