A FEW FAVES

YAY! My first ever year wrap up!

Now in order to actually get this done, and roll with my 2019 motto of ‘done is better than perfect’, I’ve quickly put together a selection of some of my favourite moments, images and memories of 2019. So here it is, raw and real… Scrolling through all the images below has been one of the highlights of the year. I actually went and checked and every single one of you features from the 40 weddings/ elopements this year which shows me that I’m attracting my kind of people! I never really thought I had a ‘style’ but looking through, I can definitely see a theme with my love for colour, people, adventure, raw moments and travel.

Dear 2019,

I knew it would be hard to top 2018 with our two weddings, honeymoons and adventures but we gave it a shot.

You gave me hope in my business.
40 weddings across AUS and NZ , 12 fashion campaigns with one in Beautiful Bali, and another passport stamp in Vietnam.

You gave me freedom in my personal life.
Andrew was blessed with a new job that allowed us to down tools earlier and spend more time together.
You made me work smarter, not harder.
2019 saw huge changes to the back end of my business. I created more content than ever before and set up systems which helped my clients more than ever while also giving me more time.

We celebrated our first year anniversary overseas, had countless fights and I learnt to be more patient (jks still working on that).

I turned 30 on a junk boat in Ha Long Bay, a world heritage paradise in Vietnam.
I saw my brother open up an incredible precinct in Freo @theoldsynagoguefremantle showing me to aim bigger and stop living in my comfort zone.
You taught me that I need faith to get through life’s many challenges. I watched my mom and my hero fight cancer once again and got taught that our life isn’t our right, each day is a gift, God’s got us and our story has already been written for us.
I missed out visiting my fam back in South Africa by working over Christmas to save up for our next house.

I went gluten-free. Then learnt how hard that was and continue to fail at being disciplined every time the Arancini comes round at weddings.

I didn’t make time to set up my charitable print shop @movemountainsprints but it is first on my list for winter so please hold me to it and help me make a difference to people lives far beyond those we will ever get the pleasure of meeting.

While I hoped to find more purpose and help more people along the way I feel like 2019 was setting me up for a better 2020.

As I finish my last page of 2019 I’m thinking of you all and hope that 2020 is a year spent with more purpose, love, and time. Time to rest, spend with family /loved ones, time to show gratitude – something I am working on – for people things and experiences, time to write down things you’ve wanted to do but never had/made time to do/didn’t even know you wanted to. To anyone who’s had a heartbreaking year, I’m thinking of you & praying that 2020 is a year for breakthrough for you & my DM’s are always open.

I am so incredibly grateful for every single person I have been lucky to meet and can’t wait to meet so many more of you guys in 2020!

Much love

X Kate
