Pic-Time Review

Why I Moved My Client Galleries to Pic-Time (and Haven’t Looked Back)

If you’re a photographer still weighing up gallery platforms, I’m sharing my honest experience with Pic-Time — including why I switched over from Pixieset a few years ago and what’s kept me there ever since.

With Pic-Time 2.0 now here in 2026, I’m even more excited to explore new ways to elevate the client experience and strengthen how I deliver galleries.

The continued development of the platform makes it even easier to create a seamless, considered experience for clients while also opening up more opportunities for passive income through print sales.

At the heart of it, what I value most is how it supports the preservation of meaningful work — helping turn digital galleries into tangible, lasting pieces that contribute to a client’s legacy and can be passed down through generations.

Why I Switched

I originally used Pixieset for my client galleries, but over time I started looking for something more refined in both design and functionality — something that felt more aligned with how I wanted to present my work.

When I moved to Pic-Time, what stood out immediately was the simplicity of the interface and how intentionally everything was designed around the visual experience. It felt cleaner, more elevated, and more considered.

What Keeps Me Using Pic-Time

A few years on, I’ve stayed with Pic-Time because it continues to evolve in ways that actually matter to photographers.

The platform is constantly being updated, and what I appreciate most is how responsive they are to feedback. It doesn’t feel like a static system — it feels like a product that is actively improving alongside the people using it.

The gallery experience itself is seamless. It’s clean, intuitive, and designed to let the images do the talking without distraction.

The Print Store & Passive Sales

One of my favourite features is the automated print store.

Once it’s set up, it genuinely runs in the background — clients can order prints directly from their gallery, and orders are fulfilled automatically while you’re focused on other parts of your business (or not working at all).

It’s simple, effective, and removes a lot of unnecessary admin.

I use local Australian labs Atkins and Seldex for fulfilment, both of which produce consistently high-quality results, but their are labs all around the world for you to utilise.

Client Experience Matters

My clients generally find the gallery very easy to use, and if they ever do have questions, the built-in chat support is a big plus. It removes friction from the experience and means I’m not constantly fielding technical questions.

It’s one of those small details that makes a big difference to the overall service experience.

Why It Works

Pic-Time is built around two core ideas: design and technology.

They see photographers not just as artists, but as business owners — and the platform reflects that balance. It’s designed to simplify delivery, elevate presentation, and support long-term business growth.

In their own words:

“The DNA of our company is built on two main foundations – Design and Technology.
We view photographers as both artists and business owners with individual needs. We strive to give each one of them the tools that will simplify their photo delivery, amplify visual experience and maximize their business potential. Tools for efficiency, design, and business growth.”

Final Thoughts

For me, Pic-Time has become more than just a gallery delivery system — it’s part of how I present my work and run my business more efficiently.

If you’re curious to try it, you can use my code M6ZN75 for a free month and see how it fits into your workflow.
