Barkers Bridge, Swan Valley
In summer it’s golden and beautiful at sunset, in winter it’s lush green and great for rugged up misty mornings.
Cottesloe Civic Centre
More manequered but beautiful and classic.
Como Treasury / St Georges Cathedral
Beautiful modern buildings and these white arches make for gorgeous modern images.
*On weekdays the back cement wall areas are protected by security so you can get told to leave.
Stirling Gardens
Across the road from Como
UWA
Moana Hall, Perth City
Call Cheyne to ask to book a time in this beautiful space. It can get quite dark and moody in winter/on overcast days and be a completely different look.
Sandalford Winery Bougainvillea
There’s no denying my love for colour, and although my favourite colour is green I find the vines and freshly mowed green grass not my style and bounces a lot of gross green onto your skin so I always opt for this glorious bougainvillaea bush at the backfield of Sandalford.
Bold Park, City Beach
The light path running through Reahbold Hill bounces glorious light and is my go-to if you’re around City Beach.
Fremantle
Around Cliff Street, I have many favourite nooks, buildings and doorways I love shooting in front of.
South Fremantle
North Fremantle
Fun and playful buildings for Freo locals
Wolf Lane, Perth City
From bright street art to the classy brand name stores, Wolf Lane can be quite busy and not so easy to get parking but great if you are walking from The Flour Factory or Lamont’s.
Queen Street Carpark
I love this spot – on weekends there are usually no cars up on the roof so it’s a great blank canvas with the city in the background to relax, bring some food and pop some champagne.
Trigg Beach
My Favourite beach for photos – the rocks add so much more drama and character.
Cottesloe Beach
Iconic, epic sunsets, pristine coastline.
If it’s busy I usually head up the north side.
Swanbourne Beach
Usually known for other reasons, this little patch right below The Shorehouse has both a gorgeous beach and some nice golden tufts.
Perth City Farm
The Courtyard and Art Room are awesome backdrops – the art room can be stinking hot in Summer but perfect as a wet weather option or to escape the midday sun.
Bells
For the adventurous folk, Bells is an Aussie beauty, with rolling hills, beaut sunsets, a waterfall at the right time of year, little goats running up the hills (and a few unwanted non-so-friendly ticks if you’re lucky). It’s a steep decline to get to so only comfy shoes/boots allowed here!
Subiaco
A bit of a tricky spot to find places without cars, but if you are having a Matilda Bay wedding and don’t want to waste time with traffic in the City then this person’s garage in the main car park is pretty cool when flowering.
Airbnb’s
I loveeee a good Airbnb, you can take a look at my favourites wedding accommodation and Airbnb’s here.
Barrett Lane
The one venue with so many backdrops. If you’re not having your wedding here they may let you use the olive ‘grove’ (just 2 scrappy lines of olive trees) for some romantic Tuscan Vibe photos.
Matilda Bay Foreshore
Usually busy with people on weekends, but if you would like somewhere along the river it’s a great little spot.
Friday’s Studio
West Perth alleyways and building colours
UWA
I love the Tropical and Sunken Gardens of UWA because of their dark deep green colours and bold tones so you stand out.
This is a lot prettier than messy Kings Park. You can apply for a permit.
Midland Railway Yards
Secret Garden
Can bounce a lot of green if there isn’t any sun and sometimes be very muddy and not this lush. This is an example of when it’s turning it on.
Green Place Reserve, Mosman Park
Gnangara Pines
If you like the pine forest look
