WHAT TO DO WHEN ENGAGED
8-12 MONTHS BEFORE THE WEDDING
So, The main things are booked and now for the finer details!
On booking with me for your wedding you will receive a full comprehensive list of all the best wedding vendors in Perth.
Book a Wedding Stylist
By now you should have a better idea of what you like, and STILL like after a few months. Try not follow trends. If anything just pick one or two things on trend, but remember they will most likely date. Although sometimes that’s fun when looking back at old photos and seeing how things change. Some of my favourites are Tiffany Keal Creative Studio, Sophia Monique and Styled Notion.
Book the food
Decide on Food Trucks or caterers.
Again go back to the list to see ideas like Soul Provider (delicious food truck style food – think buttermilk chicken waffles and huge seafood paellas) or Heyder and Shears with more higher end amazing catering. They set up anywhere – the last wedding I did with them was a cocktail reception outside Jarradale Chapel under the stars and festoon lights with a pig and lamb on the split – it was incredible.
FIND THE DRESS
Yes I’m sure by now you have probably looked at and maybe tried on a few but hopefully you have thought about it more and not impulse purchased the first one you try, because I can tell you now the chances are you will look incredible in everything and don’t often wear a long white dress but try find something unique that fits your style and personality. Leave the veil option to a month before the big day if you are unsure. View my list of the Best Wedding Dress Shops in Perth here.
Book Airbnb’s/ Hotels or ask a friend or family member to use their place
Try and find something that looks good in photos. I have a list of some my favourite getting ready venues HERE.
Send out save the dates
This depends on when your wedding is, get in early if you’re getting married in popular months like March/April/ October otherwise you can wait until 6 months out but why not get in as early as possible. Try companies like Paige Tuzee, The Little Press or LaLa Design.
